The Structural Mechanisms of Metabolism and Cell Growth Regulation Group, part of the Structural Biology Programme of the CNIO, requests candidates to fill a position of Research Scientist to work on the structural determination of macromolecular complexes by cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) and image processing. The research project requires the biochemical and structural characterisation of complexes purified from bacteria, yeast, and human cells. The researcher is expected to autonomously direct the entire process of protein purification and cryo-EM, including data collection and processing, as well as molecular modelling.
